St. Nicholas party at the kindergarten
On December 5, St. Nicholas visited us – a festive highlight in the Advent season that the children had been looking forward to for a long time.
St. Nicholas was warmly welcomed in all four groups. The children had practiced songs with great enthusiasm in the days before and performed them with joy. It was lovely to see how attentive and proud they were to meet St. Nicholas.
A special part of our St. Nicholas tradition is the conscious experience of sharing: the children present St. Nicholas with donations that benefit people in need. This teaches them that giving can bring just as much joy as receiving gifts.
As a thank you, St. Nicholas brought each group a festive snack. They ate together in a cozy atmosphere – a successful end to an atmospheric morning.
We would like to thank all the families who supported the fundraising campaign and contributed to this day.

Advent celebration in the kindergarten
As part of this year’s Advent season, an atmospheric Advent celebration took place with the families in our kindergarten.
The children presented a varied musical program with great joy – with songs in German and English. Particularly impressive were the contributions of the children from the early musical education and ballet groups, who performed their rehearsed performances with enthusiasm.
Afterwards, the families had the opportunity to get creative together at a craft station. Together with their parents, each child was able to create a small workpiece to take home – a lovely memento of the afternoon together.
Another highlight was the Advent bazaar. The children and teachers had put a lot of effort into baking, crafting and preparing in the weeks beforehand. Visitors were able to choose from a lovely selection of cookies, homemade bags, Christmas tags and cards.

Primary School
Review of December
December was characterized by a pre-Christmas atmosphere and many special moments at our elementary school. The visit from St. Nicholas brought great joy to all the children.
As part of the GG generosity program, we dealt with the fairy tale “Sterntaler” and lived the idea of sharing by the children baking their own “Sterntaler” and distributing them in the head office and to the teachers. Another highlight was our joint ice skating trip.
The children also prepared for the nativity play with great commitment and proudly presented their play to their parents.

Secondary School
Trip to the climbing gym – 1C
On November 19, the 1C class visited the climbing gym in Vienna as part of their exercise and sport lessons together with their head of class and co-head of class. For many of the pupils, it was their first time climbing on a rope – and their curiosity, courage and enthusiasm were correspondingly high. Two experienced trainers accompanied the class professionally and ensured safety, motivation and numerous successes. A sporty excursion that everyone will remember fondly!

Visit to the children’s opera “Hansel and Gretel”
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, all 1st graders went on an atmospheric excursion during the Advent season. Together we attended the children’s opera “Hansel and Gretel” at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater.
The lovingly designed and child-friendly performance offered them a first insight into the world of opera.
After the performance, a joint visit to the Christmas market rounded off the excursion.

Churches, architectural styles and Christmas markets – a successful excursion for 3A
On Friday, 12.12.2025, 3A visited several churches to learn about different architectural styles. Professor Spalek guided the class through St. Peter’s Church. St. Stephen’s Cathedral, St. Ruprecht’s Church and Maria am Gestade also left a lasting impression. A visit to an atmospheric Christmas market was on the program as a short stopover. We will remember this excursion with Professor Kropfreiter and Professor Trachta for a long time to come.
Big meets small – service learning in kindergarten

Advent at our school: Contemplative. Communal. Festive.
In our secondary school, we have made a conscious effort in recent weeks to make the preparation for Christmas a visible and tangible part of our school culture.
A dedicated team from class 5A, led by our team assistant Denisse Mata, took on the task of designing a digital Advent calendar. This was presented on the school screens and gave us a little incentive every day to get us in the mood for Christmas. A big thank you to the whole team for this wonderful contribution!
Once a week, on Mondays in the LIM lesson, there was also a short Advent prayer . We consciously prayed for our personal intentions and those of the entire school community.
Another great initiative was the weekly rosary prayer for peace, to which school staff and parents in particular were cordially invited to our school chapel.
The highlight and at the same time the festive conclusion of our Advent season was the Christmas service in the beautifully decorated St. Peter’s Church. A festive brass orchestra underscored the reverent mood and gave the service a special setting. A big thank you goes to our school chaplain Dr. Spalek for his careful and sensitive preparation.
On Tuesday, 23.12.2025, we celebrated a very nice Christmas party. Many songs and poems, a great nativity play and other plays were presented. We will never forget this celebration – now we are in the real Christmas spirit!
We are now in the perfect mood for Christmas and are looking forward to the upcoming vacations.
