Job Description: School Receptionist (Part-Time)

Job Title:
Providing support to the secretariat and administration at Stella DC (elementary and high school) as the first point of contact for handling phone calls, visitors, students, and parents.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication/Customer Service:
    • Answering phone calls and forwarding them as needed.
    • Front desk staff and first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors.
    • Care for sick children (calling the parents or guardians/emergency call, handing the child over to the person picking them up).
    • Recording of students who arrive late or leave before the end of class.
  • Administration:
    • Support for Data Manipulation in Administrative Tasks
    • Supervision of students who are picked up late.
    • Handling general inquiries to the school as needed.
    • Receiving repair requests from students.
    • Support for school events (preparation, follow-up, and during the event, usually outside of agreed-upon working hours).

Job Description:

  • A friendly, professional, and confident demeanor in both in-person and telephone interactions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in German and English.
  • A strong commitment to service and the ability to remain calm and act professionally even in stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in common digital applications (MS Office).

Job description

The educational specialist is responsible for the educational and organizational work within the after-school care group, taking into account current educational plans and existing concepts.

The role

Planning and implementing educational and childcare activities

  • Homework supervision
  • Creative activities (play, crafts, making music, etc.)
  • Leading/supervising physical activities (play, gymnastics, games etc.)
  • Leading/supervising visits to exhibitions and theatre performances
  • Co-creating the educational work in the setting
  • Implementing our educational philosophy and standards
  • Co-organising extracurricular activities
  • Creating a favourable learning environment
  • Individual support for each child as a whole person, in accordance with their strengths

Continuing professional development:
